Nursing Home Bookkeeper/Office Manager
We are seeking a Nursing Home Bookkeeper/Business Office Manager with at least two (2) years of LTC/SNF experience to utilize their accounting and administrative functions to offer professional assistance and growth to the Residents within our wonderful Nursing Home Facility.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Excellent exposure to nursing home services a must
- Medicaid application coordination, completion and submission
- Medicaid redeterminations/income adjustments
- Pre-screening and verification of benefits (Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance etc) for patient referrals/new admissions
- Daily census and payor source recording
- Resident financial file completion and management
- Excellent knowledge in Medicaid/Medicare billing procedures
- Handle Trust Fund Account of the residents
- Help residents to fill out forms for Medicaid. Encouraged family and resident s to apply for Medicare benefits and discussed responsibility when Medicare is exhausted
- Prepare admission packet for new residents and explain their benefits, financial responsibility to the nursing home and rights as a resident
- Coordinate with case worker for any questions about Medicaid patients
- Coordinate with the admission department that all residents should be screened before they are admitted for nursing home services
- Assist pending residents to apply for Social Security benefits and discussed with other departments the needs of the resident and meet with their families
- Prepare monthly summary of daily census which include admissions and discharges of Medicaid including self-pay residents
- Support government auditors on Medicaid audit by preparing paperwork on Medicare and Medicaid accounts
